How it plays
Defensive Driving is a defense, not an attack — you never open a Drive with it. You hold it in hand, and the moment an Other People attack is declared against you, you play it and the attack does nothing.
When to use it
A Save answers its own colour only, so Defensive Driving is dead weight against anything that is not Other People, and a hand with no Other People Save cannot refuse an Other People Hazard. There is also a risk in playing one at all: the moment a Save goes down, any driver other than the one who played it, holding three or more cards, may flip the top face-down Trap — and if that Trap is an Other People one, the Save is wrecked and the Hazard lands anyway.
